My name is Gigi. I am a certified in-person and/or online personal trainer as well as a certified nutrition coach. I help women get in front of the aging process by taking them through the ABC’s of low impact strength training to restore strength and reclaim independence.
First and foremost, I am a teacher. I have a degree in Physical Education from UCSB and prior to my fitness career, I taught English as a second language. I pride myself on clear and patient communication.
Barre
I have 12 years teaching barre - a ballet-inspired workout that blends elements of dance, pilates, and yoga. It is a wonderful, low impact method of gaining core strength, while also improving flexibility.
Personal Training
I've helped women learn how to safely use workout equipment to strength train, build muscle, improve cardiovascular health and balance. To achieve long lasting body recomposition and promote bone density, learning weight bearing exercise is key.
Nutrition
I help people develop a better, more useful relationship with food. I coach not only for weight loss, but also for lifestyle and function. As someone who has struggledd with a chronic condition since birth, I have learned that my emotions, sleep, energy, and ability to function is governed by what I eat. My approach to nutrition is whole foods-based, not on calorie counting.
